Ara Saenovich Babloyan was an Armenian statesman and physician. He was born on May 5, , in Yerevan.

Babloyan attended Yerevan Middle School No. After completing his studies, Babloyan worked at Clinic No. In , Babloyan defended his candidate dissertation in Leningrad. He was selected through a competition to become an assistant at the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Yerevan State Medical Institute. From to , he served as the head of the Urology Department at the 3rd Children's Clinical Hospital in Yerevan.

In , Babloyan defended his dissertation at the Leningrad Institute of Pediatrics. He became a Doctor of Medical Sciences, associate professor, and professor. From , he worked as an associate professor at the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Yerevan State Medical Institute, and from , he became a professor.

Babloyan actively participated in rescuing children affected by the earthquake in , which led to the establishment of pediatric hemodialysis services in Armenia. In , he received specialized training in kidney transplantation in Switzerland and Belgium. He served as the Minister of Health of Armenia from to In , Babloyan established the Arabkir Medical Complex, an institute for children and adolescent health.

He authored three scientific discoveries, four monographs, and over scientific articles. In , Babloyan was awarded the "Golden Medal" and honorary diploma in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Yerevan State Medical Institute.
